Theme of the month: Food

Hello everyone and welcome again to My English Webmarks! I am still going through my English learning process. I hope you are too. 

Today we are going to start talking about food. This is a really great topic because, as you know, we eat everyday, we cook almost every day, we go shopping for food, and we go out for meals. We can’t spend even one day without food, so I decided to take it seriously and spend a whole month studying how to talk about food and all things related to food in English. And you are welcome to join me!

Short meal vocabulary

Hello again! I remind you that theme of the month is Food! First I want to show you my short list of «meal» words. I hope it will be useful for you too. Then I am going to practice my writing skills and describe my favorite meal of the day.

breakfast - the first meal of the day especially when taken in the morning

lunch – the meal taken in the middle of the day

dinner- the principal meal of the day

dish - food prepared in a particular way

soup - a liquid food especially with a meat, fish, or vegetable stock as a base and often containing pieces of solid food

home-cooked meal – a meal that is prepared at home
